Well, I’ve spent the day reorganising my posts, sorting out tags and categories and installing a new theme. Everything seems pretty much in “working order” now, although I still have some tidying up to do on older posts!
Everything should be a lot cleaner now, although I do have a few changes still to make to it yet over the coming days. Have a look at the little slide-show below to see some extra features! Hope you like it, and let me know if you notice any problems with it 🙂

Uhh I really like the new design – looks very neat! I see you sorted out the OpenID thing that we talked about, right? I like the scrolling pictures on top of the first page – is it a plugin or a theme feature?
Thanks Marianna – for the open ID thing – in the end all I needed to do was create a disqus account and it seemed to work fine 🙂 The featured image slider on the homepage is a theme feature, though it's not as nice as the one I used to have on my old site, stylistically speaking. The old one would show an ajax spinner while all images were loading and then smoothly transition from one to the next, while this one loads them all on top of each other before switching between each image. I'll need to hack it a bit to get it working I think.
There is an addon called OpenID – it not only enables OpenID comments on our site, but also provides you your own openID for your site, so you can log in with your url in every site where they accept it. It sounds like something that you wanted to do.
Thanks Marianna – in fact though I think I prefer the core WordPress comments function. It's less social-media friendly for sure, but gives me more control I think – in any case, there's still some things I want to change on the site so those will come with time 🙂

Ha! The result of hours of work. Having to go through and cost-tag every single post! Gaaah. Still, it's done now so I won't have to do it again, and it's given me an incentive for a few ideas on something I can do to keep in theme with my site title!

Haha, thanks Joanna 🙂 Things were a bit fraught for a few minutes when I thought I'd deleted important files but it seems to be running fine now, knock on wood 😀
